Enjoy a quality horse-riding experience at Saddle Tramps; whether you are a seasoned rider or a total beginner you will love our beautiful horses and breathtaking scenery.  The stables are located on the picturesque Pencarreg Mountain with stunning views in all directions and benefitting from some of the best out-riding the UK has to offer.  Ideally situated on the borders of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire the possible routes are endless with terrain varying from open moorland, to green valleys and ancient woodland.

FOREST TRAIL - approximately 1hr in the saddle riding a forest trail of approximately 3.5 miles, suitable for adults and children (8yrs and up).  No experience required - you will be given basic instruction as you go and accompanied at all times by our guides.  This route is entriely off-road and boasts stunning views across Lampeter and the Teifi Valley.  Suitable for all levels of rider including children from 8yrs old- beginners can be led if required.  A popular option for visitor to the area wishing to enjoy the view from a different perspective!  £35 pp

2HR TRAILS - These longer rides take us across the mountain on a green lane then down onto a quiet lane for about 10 mins before reaching the forest with a vsriety of routes within. The terrrain is more challenging than the 1hr route and involves some narrow sections as well as some steeper sections - it is not suitable for beginner riders or lead reins - you need to have at least some experience of cantering in order to try this trail.   Stunning views all the way.  Ideal for those looking for a longer experience. Plenty of opportunities for a canter! £60 pp

HALF DAY RIDE - This 4 hour trail takes us deep into the enchanting and ancient Brechfa forest, with miles of trails to enjoy there are plenty of opportunities for a canter and stunning views to enjoy.  Suitable for the more experienced rider the Brechfa trail sees us covering about 10 miles. £115 pp - 2025 UPDATE - THIS TRAIL IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO FOREST CLOSURE IN RESPONSE TO DAMAGE DURING STORM DARRAGH

PONY PARTY - 3hrs of pony fun - get the ponies in the party mood by giving them a makeover before you ride! (this also gives children new to the stables a chance to become familiar with the ponies before riding) followed by a ride to the forestry (everyone takes turns riding and leading), then mounted games in the forest - great fun and suitable for all abilities! Also included is a picnic of party food and a "saddletramps" rosette for each guest - £250 for birthday child and 5 guests, additional children can be added up to a maximum of 8 guests at an additional cost of £35 per child.
